What would your life be like today if your call to the shaman’s path had been recognized when you were a child, and you had begun your training in childhood?

For most of those practicing shamanism in modern America, because of the fact of their birth in this time and place, there was no one to recognize the markers of the call to the Spirits, no village shaman to nurture their spark. Their childhood training has not yet been received.

This workshop will take participants back to their childhood to receive this instruction. You will visit your home in non-ordinary reality to learn what it was that informed your elders that the Spirits had chosen you, that you had a calling to this work, and then be presented to your childhood Teacher. Throughout the workshop, you will journey as children to your “first” shamanic Teachers and receive your “first” Teachings. Simply being a child within a village that acknowledges and supports your shamanic destiny is invaluable, as is experiencing one’s childhood having a relationship such as this loving adult Teacher.

Participants will have childhood experiences that may alter their personal history and ripple through their lives. Some who have done this work in earlier presentations say they now remember being a child and having these experiences and relationships. They say their perception and understanding of their lives subsequent to this childhood training has shifted in light of what they learned. You CAN change your past!

Paula Denham is a founder and Director of the Sacramento Shamanic Center who has an active healing and shamanic counseling practice and who guides three apprenticeship circles. She has trained extensively with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, in Celtic shamanism, and with the Bear Medicine Circle.
